Holidays or Mele Kalikimaka, the Hawaiian translation for
Merry Christmas! Welcome to our last newsletter for 2005, a
wonderful year it was. I wish to thank all of the
swellpeople out there who have supported our surf and yoga
experience by following their bliss.
As we all know,
following your bliss can be non-existent during the holiday
times when things are...to put it mildly...a little
frenzied. But this is also a wonderful opportunity
to continue doing the things that most ground you; exercise,
take a yoga class, spend some time alone, get a massage,
etc... When we make time for ourselves by participating in
activities that ground us, we are able to rejuvenate
ourselves and consequently able to 'conquer' the
holiday to do list a little bit happier and a little bit
less stressed out.
This brings me to a true story
that occurred just days ago; As I was beginning to teach my
yoga class a student of mine, went on and on about a
stressful situation with the telephone company and that
she almost didn't make it to class because she didn't want
to miss their important call. She made it to class but
seemed a bit frazzled, but that changed 15 minutes into our
yoga practice. At the closing OM,
she opened her eyes and had that 'yoga glow'. As we were
leaving the yoga studio, I commented, "Good luck with the
telephone company." She smiled back, "What telephone
company...".

possible. Women of all ages,

Snowing
in Paradise!
|

Well...that's almost true.
SwellWomen will be packing up shop and bringing some
paradise and aloha to the Colorado
and Utah
snow filled mountains for the months of January and February
2006. We are turning in our surfboards for snowboards as we
hope to find some great spots for our upcoming Snow
Experiences. More information coming soon!

launching in 2006 is the first ever surf and yoga
6-night/7-day overnight vacation program for both men and
women on the islands of Hawaii. The
experience is designed with the single traveler in mind who
wishes to explore new territory and learn new skills while
meeting like-minded individuals and possibly find romance in
a tropical setting. "It's a wonderful opportunity to connect
with other men and women with the same sense of adventure
